MProbe 70  scanner based  configuration

         MProbe 70 is a high performance thickness measurement system. It is based on spectroscopic reflectance and/or transmittance measurements and  designed for continuous measurement on 24/7 production lines. Some examples include web measurement in roll-to-roll production (thickness of films and coatings), architectural glass production(reflectance, transmittance and color coordinates), rolled metal sheets (oil or coating thickness) and many more.

          Our thickness measurement system effectively measures  thin film and thick sheets with multilayer descrimination;clear, colored and tinted films; organic or water-based coating and adhesives. Measure thickness of barrier films – such as Nylon,EVOH or PVD simulteneously with other polymers such as PR,PP and Ionomer. Thickness of coating on polymer, glass, metal, plastic,semiconductors and other non-porous materials.

There are two basic configurations: multi-point and scanner based system.

  • Multipoint configuration has a stationary main multi-channel  measurement system and  fiberoptics probes at fixed positions on production line. 
  • Scanner configuration has a measurement head mounted on a scanner, that moves continuously across production line

The selection of configuration depends on many factors including the speed of the line, the need for complete or selective inspection and the budget.
